so, a few weeks ago southwest airlines gets tacked with like a $10 million fine because their planes had missed some safety inspections. what i find intriguing is the fact that during the next few days delta, american and a few others canceled all these flights saying they needed to get their planes up to code. nice. how long would they have gone without all the safety inspections if southwest hadn’t been caught?

the thing is that these cancellations haven’t really stopped since southwest got caught. this past week american airlines that was under fire. they lost millions canceling some 2-3 thousand flights to get some of their planes up to code. and thats not even mentioning the fact that american shares tanked and dropped 11% in one day.

you may be asking, does this have anything to do with you? why are you rambling?

first i work for an airline, so i’m automatically interested. and second i was trying to fly to north carolina for this weekend. good luck trying to get on a plane with all those american airlines passengers that were now stranded.
